HISTORY IN THE MAKING: DOCUMENTING THE IMMIGRANT RIGHTS MOVEMENT

 

HELP SUPPORT FILMING AND EDITING OF TWO PROJECTS-

 

La Vigilia/The Vigil

The fight of a small but determined group of women who held a vigil AGAINST Senate Bill 1070 for ONE HUNDRED AND THREE DAYS in front of the Arizona State capitol. How often have you protested in 103 degree weather for four hours, let alone more than three months? Their story must be told!

 

DREAM Generation

The inspiration of immigrant youth around the country who are at the forefront of the immigrant rights movement- fighting for the DREAM Act and for dignity for their families. This film follows Renata Teodoro and the Student Immigrant Movement of Boston, Felipe Matos of the Trail of Dreams- youth who WALKED from Florida to Washington DC for immigrant rights, and youth in Arizona!

 

Suggested Donation $10- Proceeds will go to the filming and editing of these two documentary projects by filmmaker Jenny Alexander and VARIOUS collaborators including Michaela O’Brien (Boston), Renato Avalos (Arizona).
