Some New DREAM Act information

Hello all,
It’s been an exciting last couple of week! As many of you know the DREAM Act is coming up soon and there are many things that we still need to talk about…In the mean time in order to prepare for the DREAM Act’s re-introduction there are several things that I want to ask your help with:
The first is:
10 Years of the DREAM Act Project-
We are looking to highlight the story of one DREAMer who has been working on the DREAM for every year it has been introduced (2001-2011). We are going to send out those stories through the UWD list, put it on the website, and try to get them published. We need your stories by Friday. Please email your story to me, Gaby Pacheco. Your story should say:
You story (brief 2 to 3 paragraphs at most)
Age
When you started working on the DREAM Act
What you have done with your life
and what you would do once the DREAM Act passes or what you would be doing if the DREAM Act would have passed in 01.
YOU CAN ADD MORE and EXPLAIN other things you would like.
The second is:
Senator Durbin is collecting stories as well to either talk about them on the Senate floor or to refer to them when talking to other Senators.As you know telling the stories of DREAM Act students is the best way to build support for the bill. If you are a DREAM Act student, send your story to Dreamers@durbin.senate.gov. Please make sure to CC me please at: Gaby@unitedwedream.org

- What are you studying?
- What are your hobbies?
- What would you like to do when you graduate?
- What are your dreams for the future?
- Have you ever been in deportation proceedings?
Some of the stories will be posted on the DREAM Act page of Senator Durbin’s website.

Lastly:
