SIM Camp 2013 Is Coming!
SIM Camp 2013 is coming!
SIM Camp is the Student Immigrant Movement’s biggest training of the year. During SIM Camp we train a new generation of immigrant youth leaders who are interested in taking responsibility for their community and making change. This two-day training will give you the skills and motivation to take your leadership to the next level.
Last year we had coming out actions, stopped deportations, won DACA and helped over 300 Dreamers fill out their DACA applications. All of this was done thanks to committed leaders who used their skills and passion to help their community. This year we are ready for more!
Do you have what it takes to make change happen? Register for SIM Camp 2013 here.
We are looking for commitment. By choosing to join the SIM family, you are choosing to take a stand for yourself and for your community. You are choosing to deny the criminalization and marginalization that our families are subject to every single day. You are choosing to both teach us and learn with us, and to be part of a journey that will change your life. You are joining a young but proud tradition of immigrant youth leadership that has already won huge victories and that is absolutely committed to fighting for dignified lives for all members of our immigrant community.
SIM Camp is happening March 2-3 in Boston. There is a $25 registration fee which covers food, lodging, all materials, and a cool T-Shirt! Out of respect for the work that goes into a training of this type we will not allow people to arrive late or attend only 1 of the 2 days. You must be present for the entirety of the training. This training is open to people with or without organizing experience but with a strong commitment.
Are you ready to fight back? Register here!
You should have received a registration code from your recruiter. If you do not have a code or a recruiter yet, please e-mail me at ncastano@simforus.com.
